Artist Statement

This piece embodies a tension between softness and severity. The palette combines soft, muted tones (powder pink and warm white) with stark contrasts (carbon black and sharp crimson) to evoke emotional duality. The main collision occurs in the center where softened pressure bands intersect with the sharp edges of the island patterns, creating both confinement and freedom. This interplay reflect the abstract themes of openness and protection represented by the seed.
