Artist Statement
This artwork explores the contrasting emotions of restlessness and peace through a dynamic composition that suggests movement and stillness. The palette of sepia, tan, dust gray, and faded blue serves to evoke a sense of memory and the passage of time, where warmer tones represent restless energy and cooler ones bring a feeling of calm. The main collision occurs along the diagonal, where restless 'ladder' patterns intersect with the more tranquil 'tide' flows. Intentional broken pixels enhance the disruption, capturing the essence of fleeting moments and emotional echoes.
