Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the collision between fear and hope, creating a dynamic visual narrative. The palette consists of deep black and dark violet for the fear aspect, while soft gold and pale green serve as pale accents of hope. This combination generates an engaging contrast and a feeling of pressure; darkness swathes most of the canvas but is interrupted by lighter shades, suggesting a battle between despair and the flicker of light. The layout mirrors itself yet includes broken pixels, giving a sense of imperfection and adding emotional depth. The flow from outside to center creates a feeling of pressure building toward a small center of hope.
