Artist Statement
This abstract composition embodies the emotional dichotomy of defiance and submission, visually represented through a deliberate clash of dark and light tones. The palette of black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green creates tension, where the darker hues emphasize heavy contrasts, while the lighter colors suggest moments of hope or release. The arrangement flows in a descending pattern, akin to falling pixels, highlighting an imbalance that reflects the struggle between weight and lightness. The bottom weighting adds to a feeling of pressure, with the softer gold and pale green piercing through the darker framework, creating interruptions in the flow. This juxtaposition reinforces the overarching theme of the seed: a battlefield of emotions rather than a literal representation.
