Artist Statement
This abstract piece captures the tension between loneliness and connection through a strategic use of color and placement. The palette, drawn from 'machine_emotion', features deep blacks and vibrant electric blues to evoke a stark contrast between isolation and warmth. The central placement of darker colors represents a powerful feeling of loneliness, surrounded by electric blues that suggest a faint connection, bursting through in selected pixels. The use of negative space on the edges conveys the feeling of emptiness. The crosshatching pattern signifies both the noise of connection and the complexity of hidden emotions. The top-heavy arrangement amplifies a sense of weight and pressure, metaphorically reflecting the burden of loneliness against the flickering hope of connection.
