Artist Statement
This composition reflects the push and pull between loneliness and connection through a minimal palette of burnt orange, dark red, charcoal, and gold. The main collision occurs when the warm colors radiate from the edges toward an off-center darker core, symbolizing the tension between isolation and the desire for connection. The arrangement of colors mimics a staircase pattern interspersed with hollow spaces, creating a sense of broken continuity and unresolved emotion. This embodies the essence of the seed by translating varied emotional states into a feedback loop of warmth and weight throughout the canvas.
