Artist Statement
This piece juxtaposes the tumult of restlessness against the serene whisper of peace. The palette, drawing from dark violet, soft gold, and pale green, evokes a grappling tension between shadow and light. The collision occurs diagonally across the grid where dense stripes of dark violet assert their presence against softer tides of pale green. The choice of 'star' as the shape seed manifests here as a pulsing rhythm, symbolizing the push and pull of memory and motion, an abstract dance. The broken pixels introduce intentional imperfection, echoing the bumps in emotional journeys, while maintaining crucial negative space that invites contemplation.
