Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional dynamic between panic and control. The palette draws from the contrasting intensity of red and black signifying turmoil paired with the calmness of pale blue and white, reflecting the duality of emotions. The outer rows are heavier with darker shades representing the weight of control, enclosing a lighter, more chaotic inner core that speaks to panic with maze-like patterns, creating a sense of disruption at the center. The arrangement emphasizes a deliberate imbalance, interrupting a serene atmosphere with sharp contrasts, suggesting an emotional collision between stability and instability.
