Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional duality of loneliness and connection through contrasting colors and patterns. The color palette of black, white, and variations of red and pale blue emphasizes the tension between isolation and warmth. The layout emerges from a corner, suggesting an invasion of feelings; the dark hues in the bottom left create pressure, while the brighter, cooler colors in the opposite corner hint at connection and openness. The crosshatch effect in the dense center mimics an inner struggle, with hidden colors peeking through the layers, representing hidden emotions. The edges exhibit a soft glow that beckons, bridging the sense of separation. This reflects the ongoing interplay between the connected and the disconnected, framed within a strictly abstract narrative.
