Artist Statement
This piece conveys the emotional spectrum between tenderness and rage through the interplay of soft and jagged color arrangements. The chosen palette, dominated by muted blacks and highlighted by pale blues, reflects the calm undercurrent fighting against the sharp intensity of red. The collision between these emotional states occurs diagonally from the top left to the bottom right, where the embers of rage disrupt the gentle crack patterns representing tenderness. Broken pixels serve as intentional scars, adding complexity and depth to the vacant spaces that evoke the lingering heft of guilt and the release of forgiveness.
