Artist Statement
The emotional tone is rooted in the struggle between defiance and submission, represented through a contrasting palette of deep blacks, dark violets, soft golds, and pale greens. The contrast arises in the center, where the maze-like patterns of defiance collide against the target shapes of submission, creating visual tension. The impact reflects the push and pull of inner conflict, with clusters of dense color representing resistance and experience while lighter areas suggest openness and vulnerability. This balance captures the essence of the seed, transforming it into an abstract expression of complexity and duality.
