Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional duality of 'signal vs noise' where a defined pulse of clarity is dispersed throughout a chaotic backdrop. The palette leans toward vibrant 'signal green' and 'electric blue' to represent clarity, amidst 'dead black' and 'static gray' which reflect the noise. The main contrast occurs centrally where bright colors clash against darker tones, revealing a connection yet confrontation. The chosen pattern—'patchwork' for clarity and 'flood' for chaos—intertwines, showing the struggle of coherence within disorder. Through intentional broken pixels, fragmentations appear, signifying moments of distortion, thus enriching the narrative of memory versus erasure within the abstract composition.
