Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between longing and resolve. The use of burnt orange and dark red represents the warmth of yearning, contrasted with the cooler tones of charcoal and gold that signify a firm resolution. The overlapping lattice of colors suggests a delicate balance between the tension of repair and the pain of damage. The predominant dark hues with illuminating gold accents create a sense of echoing collision, mimicking the push and pull of emotions reflected in the seed. The intentional placement of broken pixels adds a layer of imperfection, representing the complexity of feelings in a seemingly contained space.
