Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional tension between longing and resolve through a palette of sepia, tan, dust gray, and faded blue. The warm, muted colors evoke distant warmth and quiet spaces (longing), while the sharper contrasts of broken pixels suggest a locked strength (resolve). The central collision occurs from denser clusters of sepia against the lighter, empty fields of faded blue, creating a dynamic interplay. The broken pixels serve as intentional disruptions, enhancing the tension between order and chaos.
