Artist Statement
The emotional tone embodies the tension between safety and exposure. I chose a palette combining 'shelter_green' and 'open_blue' to evoke feelings of comfort versus vulnerability. The collision occurs primarily around the center, where a muted area (pale_skin and cold_white) meets vibrant accents (warm_brown and shelter_green). This stark transition reflects the split between the feelings of being protected and left open. Broken pixels introduce a raw, imperfect quality, emphasizing the fragility of this balance.
