Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a tension between relief and dread, embodied by a shift from dark, oppressive colors at the edges towards lighter, softer colors in the center. The palette, featuring pale mint and soft sky, intertwines warmth with a storm gray depth, creating a sense of emerging from chaos into calm. Contrast occurs at the transition from darker outer rings to the flooded center, suggesting layers of emotional struggle breaking into relief. The broken pixels introduce imperfections, symbolizing the scars from tension, while the patterns reflect the notion of patchwork chaos at the edges giving way to the tranquility of the innermost squares, resonating with the seed's notions of ancient fire and hidden weight.
