Artist Statement
This artwork embodies a conflict between defiance and submission through a deliberate use of color and pattern. The palette features soft tones like powder pink and warm white, juxtaposed with sharper shades like carbon black and sharp crimson. The main collision occurs at the boundary between the tightly locked center and the more chaotic edges, representing the struggle of order against chaos. The broken pixels throughout convey imperfections and interruptions, enhancing the emotional disturbance of the piece, illustrating a threshold where two opposing forces exist in tension.
