Artist Statement
This artwork explores the duality of joy and grief through contrasting elements. The jagged edges embody the interruptions of grief, while the brighter hues symbolize the sparks of joy. The chosen palette of deep blues and vibrant yellows captures the oscillation between despair and hope. The flow of colors zigzags upward and downward, reflecting the rising signals of emotion while maintaining a certain chaos with broken pixels, enhancing the sense of imperfection in the human experience. The negative space allows for breathing room amid the density of pixels, suggesting moments of reflection amidst the emotional interplay.
