Artist Statement
This composition captures the emotional struggle of longing versus resolution. The palette of guilt forgiveness reflects the complexity of these feelings, using stain brown and deep wine to evoke warmth and depth contrasted with ash gray to signify distance and longing. The central collision appears in the lower left corner where warms hues of the longing pattern (rain) meet the firm, solid lines of the resolve pattern (fault line), creating a sense of tension. The arrangement encourages the eye to move diagonally across the square, reinforcing the idea of a gradual shift from urgency to serenity, with the broken pixels enhancing the theme of imperfect journeys.
