Artist Statement
The emotional tone of the piece is derived from the duality of tenderness and rage. The palette of deep reds and muted blues represents this contrast: reds conveying heat and intensity while blues evoke calmness. The main collision occurs in the top-left corner, where vibrant red overlaps soft blue bands, visually depicting the internal struggle of emotion. The broken pixels scattered throughout symbolize interruptions and imperfections in our emotional experiences. The layout emphasizes density in one corner, suggesting pressure while the rest of the grid remains quieter, mirroring our conflicting feelings.
