Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional dichotomy between softness and severity, visualized through a palette of powder pink, warm white, and sharp crimson against dark tones. The layout flows from the corner, creating a soft invasion of light colors that contrasts sharply with dense black and gray areas. The split-screen pattern introduces pressure while allowing softer tones to bleed into the composition, evoking a sense of tension. Intentional broken pixels disrupt the flow, adding a layer of imperfection and complexity, representing the echo of guilt against the forgiveness. The stark contrast between warm and cool tones speaks to the internal conflicts of the seed themes, creating a dynamic visual narrative.
