Artist Statement
This composition dives into the emotional dichotomy of fear and hope, expressed through contrasting color choices and patterns. The left side embodies fear with darker hues (black, dark violet) and a fractured crack pattern, suggesting tension and jagged edges. Conversely, the right side signifies hope with lighter shades (soft gold, pale green) and a smooth split-screen effect, radiating a sense of upward movement and growth. The vertical split creates a stark collision between turmoil and tranquility, echoing the emotional struggle. Broken pixel integration adds imperfection, enhancing the narrative of emotional conflict.
