Artist Statement
This artwork explores the juxtaposition of emotional tones, using a palette that embodies softness (powder pink and warm white) contrasted with the severity (carbon black and sharp crimson). The layout and flow suggest a tension of rising versus falling, highlighted by the dense central island where strong colors collide. The representation of ‘softness vs severity’ is articulated through the gentle curves of the pinks against the rigid boundaries formed by darker tones. The broken pixels introduce intentional disruptions, reinforcing the themes of guilt and forgiveness.
