Artist Statement
This piece captures the emotional tension between desire and restraint, utilizing a palette that contrasts deep, rich saturations with subdued tones. The main collision occurs in the center where bright reds flicker against muted creams, creating a visual push and pull akin to the dynamics of longing against limits. The falling pixel layout reinforces the sense of descent, while the broken pixels serve to convey imperfections in the experience of longing.
