The emotional tone reflects a tension between longing and resolve, captured in a palette of muted cream, red oxide, blackened plum, iron gray, and small orange. The use of sparse quiet fields contrasted with dense clusters reflects the island-and-sea layout, with longing portrayed by flowing tide-like patterns of muted colors.
