Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional tension between tenderness and rage, embodied through color contrast and pattern dynamics. The palette integrates intense red (symbolizing rage) with calm black and pale blue (representing tenderness). The dense clustering of red is interrupted by softer, muted fields of blue and black, creating a sense of quiet amidst chaos. The 'ladder' shape seed is abstractly represented through overlapping, jagged patterns of red cutting into horizontal bands of blue, suggesting a climb through emotional layers. The main collision occurs in the center, evoking a struggle between the emotions while maintaining an overall sense of balance and unresolved tension.
