Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional contrast between nostalgia and progress, represented through the upper rows of brighter colors symbolizing optimism and advancement, while the lower rows feature darker hues echoing memory and depth. The palette combines electric blue and magenta to evoke a sense of vibrant change, with black adding weight. The zigzag flow of colors represents the push and pull of these emotions, with the broken dots replicating the feeling of fractured memories against structured progress. This interplay creates collisions of feeling, leading viewers to navigate between calm reflection and vibrant dynamism.
