Artist Statement
This piece embodies the tension between clarity and interference, capturing the struggle of a single channel of signal amidst the chaotic noise of life. The selected palette emphasizes contrast, with rich blacks representing noise and vibrant greens symbolizing a pulse of signal. The colors collide at the center where most vivid elements clash with darker tones, suggesting an ongoing battle. This arrangement evokes feelings of frustration mixed with clarity, as the dominant black elements invoke an echo of static while the green paths create an attempt at focus and understanding. The structured, almost mirrored layout highlights the interruptions that exist within the symphony of life; two areas of noise mirror each other, but with intentional disruptions to reflect imperfection and irregularity.
