Artist Statement
This artwork captures the tension between the dualities of trust and suspicion. The palette, consisting of soft sky and storm gray, plays on light and dark contrasts that evoke emotions of warmth and unease. The dominant cool tones suggest a vastness of quiet reflection, while the fleeting accents of faded gold and pale mint represent bursts of hope amidst the uncertainty, introducing a soft glow against harder shadows. The central collision occurs through the juxtaposition of vertical stripes and rippling forms — a visual metaphor for the struggle between clear communication (trust) and static interference (suspicion). This arrangement creates a sense of rhythm, echoing the unpredictable nature of relationships.
