Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional interplay between longing and resolve. The top half of the grid, representing longing, employs a stack pattern with softer shades of pale blue and subtle whites, creating a sense of vulnerability and emotional reach. Conversely, the bottom half embodies the weight of resolve through a ripple pattern in deeper, more defined blacks and reds, delivering a striking contrast. The main collision occurs in the center where tension peaks, symbolizing the struggle between the two emotions. Broken pixels disrupt the symmetry to symbolize imperfection, enhancing the narrative of seeking repair amidst damage.
