Artist Statement
This abstract piece navigates the emotional terrain between loneliness and connection. The top four rows embody a spark of loneliness, utilizing muted tones of gray and dark maroon to create a sense of isolation. The bottom four rows hint at connection through radial bursts of pink and red, contrasting the coldness above. The use of broken pixels represents imperfections in human connection—each pixel a fragment of experience. The palette reflects the tension between warmth and coldness, while the layout accentuates the theme of exposure versus concealment through the top-weighted design. The cluster of colorful pixels towards the bottom echoes a heartbeat within the dense weight above, creating a narrative of yearning and hope.
