Artist Statement
This composition captures the tension between joy and grief through contrasting color and arrangement. The palette mixes bright yellows and oranges to evoke joy, contrasted with deep blues and muted purples to signify grief. The layout mirrors on either side, with intentional 'broken' pixels to embody the imperfections of emotional experience. The wave-like flow adds rhythm, while contrasts emerge where bright colors abruptly intersect with darker hues, suggesting collisions between the two states of being.
