Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a push and pull between feelings of loneliness and connection, highlighting the tension in shared spaces. The palette consists of black for void and isolation, soft gold for fleeting moments of connection, dark violet representing depth of introspection, and pale green embodying hesitant growth. The contrast resides in the arrangement: dense clusters of darker hues clash with softer tones, creating an echo of unresolved feelings that reflect the hidden versus exposed theme derived from the seed. Each color placement represents broken connections, with a top-weighted structure that symbolizes an overwhelming weight often felt in loneliness alongside the attempts at reaching out visually represented by bursts of gold.
