Artist Statement
The emotional tone embodies a tension between longing and resolve; a struggle between quiet patches and intense colors. The selected palette reflects feelings of solitude and melancholy through navy and black, while dim cyan serves as a distant whisper of hope. The main collision occurs centrally, where the denser ‘noise’ from the resolve intertwines with scattered threads of ‘longing’ in a maze-like pattern. Broken pixels introduce intentional imperfections, enhancing the feeling of a shattered tranquility. This square communicates an emotional narrative of seeking connection yet facing barriers, creating a poignant interplay of patterns and space.
