Artist Statement
The emotional tone derived from the seed speaks to the complex interplay between longing and resolve, expressed through color and arrangement that suggest a struggle between control and chaos. The palette of stain brown, ash gray, warm ivory, soft gold, and deep wine evokes a sense of warmth and muted urgency. The dominant color of warm ivory fills much of the piece with a sense of calm, while deep wine provides a pulsating contrast at the center, signifying the collision of longing and resolve.
