Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a tense contrast between tenderness and rage, depicted through color placement. The palette combines deep blacks and reds to signify intense emotions, interspersed with soft pale blues and whites for contrast. The collision occurs diagonally, with deep reds flooding one corner, while muted cool tones contain the opposite, suggesting an emotional battle. The broken pixels add subtle disruptions, imbuing the piece with a sense of imperfection and struggle between the two emotions, echoing feelings of guilt and forgiveness.
