Artist Statement
This piece embodies the conflicting emotions of desire and restraint through a strategically chosen palette of warm and muted colors. The saturated reds signify desire, while the cooler shades introduce an element of restraint, creating a dynamic interplay. The main collision occurs at the center, where warm islands of color clash with a structured lattice of cool tones, capturing the essence of the emotional struggle. The broken pixels act as disruptions, echoing imperfections in this tension, while negative space offers moments of pause amidst the chaos.
