Artist Statement
This piece explores the juxtaposition of certainty and curiosity through contrasting forms. The palette of muted earth tones represents the weight of certainty, while warm ivory and soft gold signify curiosity. The center of the square (row 4, columns 4-5) holds the primary collision of chaotic impulse against a calm, grounded edge, creating a tension that resonates with the theme of a rising signal amidst disorder. The broken pixels introduce intentional disruptions, reflecting the unexpected nature of exploration and the fear inherent in navigating unknown territories.
