Artist Statement
This composition explores the tension between defiance and submission through a clash of structured patterns. The base palette of deep reds and blacks conveys intensity and unresolved conflict, while the pale blue and white introduce moments of calm and reflection. The arrangement contrasts densely packed layers of red (defiance) against the softer, receding lattice of pale blue (submission). The center is intensely occupied, symbolizing resistance, with surrounding space subtly giving in, creating a dynamic story of collision and coexistence. The broken pixels throughout add an aspect of unpredictability, mirroring the human experience within the emotional spectrum.
