Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a balance between desire's bright, saturated colors and restraint's muted, dark hues. The palette is selected to contrast deep red oxide with muted tones of gray and cream, representing the tension between pushing forward and being held back. The main collision occurs in the center where saturated patterns clash with muted scars, echoing the struggle between expansion and limitation. The pattern evokes a spiral pressure, reflecting the internal conflict, while the intentionally broken pixels serve as reminders of imperfection in this emotional journey.
