Artist Statement
The emotional tone explores the dynamic between control and surrender, utilizing an impactful palette of warm hues and deep contrasts to create tension. The colors, hot coral and blood orange, represent the feeling of warmth and pressure. In contrast, charcoal and hollow blue provide a cooler counterbalance, suggesting a surrendering space. The primary collision occurs towards the center, where the overfilled colors echo the feeling of pressure, while the outer regions yield softer hues, conveying a sense of gentleness. Broken pixels introduce intentional imperfections, hinting at disruptions in control and seamlessness, reflecting the chaos of the internal struggle.
