Artist Statement
The emotional tone is derived from the juxtaposition of loneliness and connection, leading to tension between heavy, dark hues and lighter, more vibrant accents. The dark palette of maroon and gray represents loneliness, while the hints of pink serve as beacons of connection. Contrast arises from the left heavy density of darker colors, slowly allowing lighter elements to infiltrate, reflecting connection's subtle arrival amid isolation. The pattern follows a diagonal flow from the corner, embodying 'corner invasion', while the theme of broken pixels adds texture that mimics emotional scars and memories, suggesting both imperfection and resilience.
