Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional tension between longing and resolve. The palette of deep indigo, cold gold, and void black creates a dichotomy of depth and light, reflecting the dualities of yearning and resolution. The central collision, a series of sharp contrasts formed by brighter patches amongst muted spaces, represents the struggle of repair amidst damage. The patterns of 'stairs' and 'pressure band' intermingle, suggesting a narrative of gradual ascent despite the ruin, effectively translating the seed's themes into an abstract rhythm.
