Artist Statement
This composition reflects the emotional tension of 'signal vs noise' by utilizing a palette that contrasts muted static gray with the vibrant energy of electric blue and hot magenta. The main collision occurs in the center where the bright colors pulse against a denser dark area, embodying the struggle of a clear signal fighting through the noise. The checker pattern represents the clean but interrupted path of signal, while the shatter pattern represents the chaotic interruption of noise, cascading towards the borders and demonstrating the invasiveness of external static. The negative space around the central pulse contributes to the feeling of isolation amidst an overwhelming environment.
