Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional tension between confusion and clarity through color placement and contrast. The palette of deep reds, stark blacks, soft pale blues, and whites represents the raw intensity of confusion overlaying a calm, clear foundation. The black serves as a thick outline, framing the five dissonant clusters of reds and blues that scatter outward from the center, evoking a sense of chaos amidst structured clarity. The broken pixels echo imperfections, allowing a conversation of abstract emotion to unfold without literal interpretation. Negative space is strategically employed to enhance the feeling of breath against dense clusters, creating a narrative of struggle towards clarity.
