Artist Statement
The emotional tone explores the juxtaposition of trust and suspicion through a palette of pale mint, soft sky, storm gray, near black, and faded gold. These colors embody hope against anxiety—where mint and sky suggest openness and warmth, gray and black introduce a sense of tension and concealment. The main contrast occurs at the center where the bold storm gray intersects with softer mint and sky in a diagonal fall pattern, representing the struggle between these emotions. The broken border and scattered placements symbolize the precariousness of trust, allowing glimpses of vulnerability amidst rigidity, reflecting the concept of resilience against fragility.
