Artist Statement
The emotional tone balances between the softness of muted colors and the severity of stark contrasts. The chosen palette reflects warmth and coldness: light taupe connects with deep carbon black, creating a tension between comfort and harsh reality. The collision occurs centrally where a softer color (powder pink) disrupts the surrounding dark hues, echoing guilt and forgiveness intertwined—gentle yet heavy. Broken pixels introduce imperfection, highlighting the fragility in emotional states. The layout allows for a corner invasion, showcasing softer tones expanding under the weight of the darker shades, embodying the spiral journey of emotions.
