Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the tension between clarity and chaos, representing 'signal' as organized, readable patterns and 'noise' as scattered, disruptive elements. The palette includes deep navy and dim cyan for the serene, stable signal, with black and white serving as contrasting negative space and highlights, symbolizing the oscillation between exposure and shelter. The main collision occurs in the center, where strong colors intersect, suggesting an attempted emergence from static into clarity, like an island striving against an echoing sea. Broken pixels disrupt the flow, representing the imperfections in receiving signals or memories.
