Artist Statement
This composition embodies the dynamic tension between relief and dread. The chosen palette of yellow, orange, deep blue, and muted purple conveys contrasts of warmth and coolness. The arrangement starts with a dense and darker mass in the top left, creating a sense of weight and dread, which gradually gives way to lighter, brighter hues suggesting relief as they radiate outward. The placement of broken pixels introduces an element of imperfection and asymmetry, echoing the jagged nature of the 'stair_step' shape seed, representing both friction and connection.
