Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between rage and calm through contrasting color placement and intensity. The palette combines the starkness of deep blacks and sharp reds to symbolize rage with the soft, pale blues and whites that evoke calm. The outer edges resonate with heavy pressure, providing a dark boundary that contains chaotic energy, while the inner colors hint at a calmer state, radiating a sense of space.
